    Hey everyone,

I have a weird new problem… I’m working with HDV footage in FCP 5.1.4. Typically what I do is export the final version from fcp to a qt reference file and plug that into Flix Pro.

All of a sudden, on the last two movies I’ve exported, there are spots where the video is completely messed up. It’s somewhat scrambled and frozen/jumpy… The audio continues and about 8 seconds later the video returns and is still synced up with the audio…

I’m using all the same equipment (Intel Mac pro quad core with 3gb ram) and software and this problem is completely new… Has this happened to anyone else?

    Thanks for any info…

Probably time to use Render Manager to delete all render files related to your timeline and then re-render.

Ok I just tried that. Deleted all video and audio files associated with this timeline, rerendered and re exported. Same problem in the same place!

Then I tried to export the movie using compressor, with video compressor set to “none”. It took a long time but it exported correctly!

Any ideas? Why do weird problems always happen to me?

I’m just using the Export Quicktime Movie option and unchecking the make movie self contianed box.

It’s always worked before but now suddenly has problems…
