    hi all,

i designed some logos for my friends websites and he needs several different sizes for upload to specific websites e.g all in pixels

    for his website: w240x h60

    facebook: w180x h115

    linkedin 1: w100 x h60

    linkedin 2:w50 x h50

    twitter: w73 x h73

    favicom: 16 x 16

since i created the logo as a vector in illustrator i thought hey it would be easy to rescale, so i should create new canvases for each site, at the required size mentioned above and presto export to PNG. but two problems first one i overcame.

1.when you export to png with a transparent background the image is

automatically cropped to the image pixels.(some research later) i created a rectangle same size as the canvas and turn opacity to 0, this maintains the canvas size when exported.

    2.the main problem:
when i export to png the rendered file dimension understandably changes to bigger size depending or resolution e.g at 300dpi we get a crisp image but it’s too big. however even at 72dpi even with bury pictures the png doesn’t match the document size…..

ps. on a mac when you preview the image it gives you dimension size of any picture e.g Dimention 305 x 305. is this unit in pixels if not how could i change it to represent pixels

thanks for your help in advance
