Exporting Paths from Illustrator for Invigorator

Hi Dave,

Nothing easier then this. Just create a circle in IL with a fill.

In case you are using IL CS3 make sure you save to CS2 or earlier version and uncheck the “Use Compression” in the Option dialog window.

In Invigorator just apply the edge of your choice and alter the depth of your object in the Set-Up window.

Now to make it look good you need to apply a bump map to the edge of your puck.

1. I use Photoshop, using the pen tool I draw around the object that I want to use in Invigorator.
2. I use File Export paths to Illustrator to save the path.
3. I crop the picture to the same dimensions as the path and save it in Targa format (TGA)
4. In Invigorator import the Illustrator path, your puc should appear.
5. Under materials, material set up you can select the picture to overlay the shape if you want.

Hope this helps, I think that I found this advice somewhere in this forum. not sure if this can be done in Illustrator.
