    I have a 15 minute timeline in FCP 7 (MacPro quad-Intel OSX.6+).
Although I haven’t had trouble in the past, when I try to Export a full resolution QuickTime file, it works for about 65% and then crashes with an “out of memory” error message. I’m exporting to the computer’s hard drive with over 100 gig.

    Any suggestions?

    [Larry Brill] “Any suggestions?”

Just search this forum for Out of memory. It is a common error message and often caused by a large still image. The remedies have been listed.

FCP absolutely hates when you try to export to the internal OS drive and a lot of times it will crash or stop. I think it’s because of the amount of space the renders need for video and audio as it is trying to write the exported video. If there is another drive you can use, use it.
