Exporting OMF problem
I have a 55 min doc that I’m trying to export the OMF for a sound mix. When my sound person opened the OMF, he said he was only receiving one track-and was only receiving about 34 min of the track-not the complete 55 min. I created a new OMF and watched it copy the tracks. It copied only part of track 1 again and then put the OMF on my desktop. Any ideas why it’s not copying all of my tracks? I don’t have any tracks muted, etc. I’d appreciate any help

Have never seen this issue here and we have upwards of 16 audio tracks sometimes in our OMF exports.
Did you set an In and Out Point in your timeline?

FCP ignores in and out points when exporting OMFs. Maybe it is too big? Bigger that the 2GB limit. Try breaking the sequence in two. Duplicate it twice. Then delete the last half of the footage in part 1, and the first half in part 2, this keeping the original sequence code.

I have tried to highlight the clip and that did not work. The file is also not over the 2G limit. I muted everything except track 2 and it still stopped in the same place. I then muted tracks 1 and 2 and it did export the proper omf for tracks 2 to 12. so there’s something going on with track 1 and 2. I made a copy of the sequence and cut out the front part of the film (up to where the track 1 and 2 omf were stopping) and created another omf for the back part of track 1 and 2 -and that worked. So essentially it took 4 separate omf’s: Track 1 and Track 2 (up to the point were it was stopping) The full movie of track 3-12 and last omf of tracks 1 and 2 from the point were it was stopping to the end of the film. Perhaps there was one file that had corruption or was a wrong format like mp3 or not 48khz. FCP doesn’t like non PCM 48khz files.
Like Walter, I have made or received many hundreds of FCP OMFs over the years and since Vers3 they have been bullet proof
