    Hi All,

I have an 83 minute sequence and I need to export all of the sound as omf files. Since there is a 2 gig limit on omf exports, I needed to find the best way to keep all of the timecode info in tact.

Having worked on Avid until now, my thought was to subclip the sequences and export the tracks from the subclipped sequences… but the subclips didn’t retain the time code from the main sequence.

So, do I need to manually change the time code on each subclip or am I missing a FCP shortcut? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Sincerely,
    Randy

Duplicate your sequence. Then delete sections from each…so that the first sequence is the first 30 min, then sequence 2 is the second 30 min and the final sequence is the rest of the show. Leave the clips in their relative position and then the OMF should line up.

Alternatively, you can work within the same sequence and just disable clips you do not want exported to the OMF.
