Hi I was wondering if anyone knew what the best way of exporting a video off the timeline in avid was? What I want to do is export it as the best quality video so I am able to share it with others. My plan is to comprise my videos onto a flash drive so they would be easy to share.
What I tried: I tried to export my videos as a QT movie but they do not come out clear(resolution) and that is what I am worried about. When I tried exporting it as a QT file it only says it is a picture size of 322X245(this is not exact?? but it is very low in my opinion???)… any suggestions?
If anyone can help that would be great. Lastly my videos are usually 2 to 10 min long and I was wondering what size they should roughly be in the end result. (Ex 1GB?????) should they be less or more? Thanks again

In export settings, click custom, and you have all the control parameters you are looking for as far as codec, compression, etc. If you have QT Pro installed, you will have even more. On the main QT export page, you will see presets for XY such as 352×240, 720 x 486, or HD if using HD.
