I am front of a machine now, and as long as you choose “16:9” in the “aperture” setting, the geometry tab does what it is supposed to.

If they are seeing letterbox, they may not be interpreting the footage correctly.

Every test I have tried, the footage comes in 16:9 (or 1024×576 in a pixel count, but 720×576 FHA in actual pixels).
