Exporting Movie From Timeline
As a workaround in order to successfully export an mpeg2 (m2v) file of a short prem pro 1.5 project (12 min), I have to first generate a BMD avi (v210) file of the entire project. This is done after first rendering all the shots that need rendering. The project and of course all the clips involved are ntsc 10-bit uncompressed captured via sdi. I tried to generate the .m2v without this intermediate step, but within moments I get the error message: “premiere pro failed to return a frame.” BTW, I’m one of those luckless souls whose constant companion is the “serious error…” message.
My question is this: By generating the v210 file from an already rendered timeline, is there any image degradation in spite of the fact that all the material is uncompressed? I also want to take the v210 file of the entire project into AE, to generate yet another file with letterboxing added. Answers and words of wisdom much appreciated.
