I have a client that wants to have all the dailies that were shot on Alexa transferred to a drive to look through via quicktime player. About half of the footage had to be manually synced to the audio WAV files. Question is that if I find the QT clips in the finder and simply copy them over to the external drive, there should be no issue for the client to pull them up and view without pulling over the separate WAV file for each? I did a test for one and it seems to be fine, but I would have assumed that each clip would have to be exported as a flattened clip out of Final Cut via Compressor. Just wanted to double-check before I send them all over.

    Thanks,
    Eddie

Unless you exported them as new QTs, the video file from the drive wouldn’t have the wav in it, but still has the original audio. Just because you merge 2 clips in the timeline doesn’t change media on your drive.
