    Hi All

I have a bunch of 1 hour tapes I need to export to MPEG 2. They are mostly SD tapes.

There isnt an mgeg 2 export option in Quick time export.

I know what I can export via Compressor. But not sure which one is the best option.

I am using FCP Studio 5.1.4.

    Thanks

    Zee.

Since your tapes are only 1 hour, you will have enough space on your DVD to use the “DVD best quality 90 min” and either 4:3 or 16:9 which ever matches your source tapes. That is what I use. Obviously if you have a source tape that is longer than 90 min, you would use 150 min or higher. The higher the time (90, 150 min) then the lower your bit rate will be and the lower your final quality will be. I hope this helped!

You can use quicktime codec h.264. export all your clips in quicktime h.264 formet good quality footage less data size..
