  • Exporting low quality PAL QT – Please Help!

    Hi all!

The original footage/timeline is NTSC and I have converted it to PAL. It’s one 20 minute clip with a TC Generator filter. I’m trying to export a low quality DV-PAL quicktime in FCP and am unable to change the frame size.

I’ve tried exporting it via Export using Quicktime Conversion, then change the QT settings to DV-PAL, least quality, current frame rate, and change the size to 352×288.

When I Get Info on the file, it says it’s 352×288 but when I open the exported movie in Quicktime, the frame size is still 720×576. When I open it in FCP, the frame size is small, but it cropped the picture, it didn’t shrink it.

I’ve also tried exporting it using Compressor, same results.

Ugh, I’m just spinning my wheels getting nowhere. I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Nevermind, I’m going in another direction with this.
