I have a large project, about 80 mins or so, I tried to export it as a QT Movie File so that I can burn a DVD. When I did this it seperated my exported file into about 15or so files ending with -av.mov1 and so forth. I tried to increase my export amount in my scratch disk area up to 4.7 GB but I am still having the same issue. I need to burn one DVD but it is giving me so much trouble, never burned a files so large. Any advice?

    Hi Brittney,
Are you exporting to any kind of USB or FAT-32 formated HD?

I checked my the formatting for my hard drive, I guess it is set to be formatted for a FAT 32. So would this be the issue?

    hi Brittney,
FAT-32 is not much recommendable for editing video.
One of the shortcomings is that have a limit of 4GBs files.
You should work with HDs formated as MacOs Extended.
Also you must try to keep at lest a 15% of your media drives empty.
your System drive needs also room for temporal files, virtual memory etc.
Very full HDs will always cause you problems.
Also avoid using USB for media drives. USB stream are fast enough for carrying video, but the speed is not sustained like in FW.

You need to format your media hard drive as Mac OS Extended.

So I tried to do the project of my hard drive when it was formatted as MAC OS but it still is continuing to separate my files in av.mov files.
