Exporting large files
Hi! I’m very new to fcp and video editing in general, so please excuse my perhaps novice questions! I have so far made 2 videos and I am currently waiting for a zipped file to upload to the we transfer site. It’s giving me a 4 hr waiting time for a video that is 2mins 8 seconds long. Is this normal? Or do I need to adjust my settings or something? The same thing happened with my last one which also took equally long to download at the other end. Please help!

The faster your internet upload speed, the faster your file uploads. What is taking 4 hours to upload at your place might only take an hour at my place. File size is dependent on a few variables, the biggest one being bitrate. Check out Larry Jordan’s video on the basics of video compression:
