    Hello,

I am trying to export a jpeg out of Final Cut, so I go to export: quicktime conversion, select still image, then from the next drop down menu I select jpeg. I then set the quality to “best” in the options section. What I end up with is an image quality of 72dpi.

My question is: Is there any way to get a higher image quality exported from Final Cut? (I am already in an HD sequence)

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Higher Quality can mean many things. What’s the goal?

The Quality setting sets how compressed the JPEG is but regardless of how it’s set you’ll always produce a 72DPI file when you export from FCP.

If you need to increase the DPI then you’d have to open the file in Photoshop (or other image editing app) and change it there.
