Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Exporting help

I have captured from DV tape via firewire into FCP. I have edited my project and when I go to export I can not find the setting that will allow for a large picture and high quality. I’ve tried almost every export setting and I can get a large picture that is pixilated but not that is high quality.

I don’t care how big the file is. This is not for the web. I will be playing the file off the computer through a projector so I want it to look good. I just want the export setting that will give me the BEST quality video and all the quality I can get is poot.

Even when I print to video the video is just a tiny little box in the middle of the screen which makes me wonder what my problem is. Did I capture is small?

Someone mentioned my project settings might not be right but what should they be if I captured the basic DV NTSC firewire?

It is 16:9 if that matters.

Any help would be so appreciated!!!

    What are your sequence settings?

Current sequence settings are set to Apple ProRes 422 HQ NTSC 48 KHZ but I’ve tried changing them numerous times.

I just don’t understand where I’m going wrong. Is it in my exporting, my capturing or my project settings? I can not get a big clear export.

What about your frame size, pixel aspect ratio, etc? It sounds like you have the wrong settings here. What settings are you using to capture, what are the full sequence settings of the sequence, and what frame size are you exporting?
