I’ve been having compression issues with my film for a long time now and I really need help figuring out how to export it from FCP to iDVD.

it was shot in HD on the HVX200 and its relatively short, so I do not want compression of any sort.

I’ve exported with quicktime conversion, and that gives it strange aspect ratios and a strobing effect.

I’ve also tried exporting as a quicktime movie, but once in iDVD, it says that I need to convert it.

Please help. This project is due very very soon and i would really appreciate any and all suggestions.

    thanks and happy holidays

    Hi Laura,
I think the best is to export a QT movie (no QT conversion) and let iDVD to make the conversion to MPG-2.

Any QT movie need to be converted in MPG-2 to be fit in a DVD.
In iDVD I guess you have no much control over this conversion.
