Exporting H.264 Files Larger Than 4,096
I’m creating some content for a 1×5 screen marquee that is supposed to play 1 video file. In theory, this would be a 9600 x 1080 file. We are currently doing some testing with the file sizes as there are concerns with the player being able to handle that large of a file. I’m trying to export the file at 9600×1080, 8192×922, and 5000×563. The problem is that the files are supposed to be H.264 for this media player. If I export with After Effects, I can preserve the size, but H.264 is not an output option. If I export with AME, I can use H.264, but the size is compressed to no larger than 4,096 width. There used to be a way to use the deprecated formats in After Effects, but that doesn’t seem to be an option anymore.
Does anyone know a way to take off the size limitations in AME or be able to export in H.264 from After Effects CC 2015? I would just convert it, but the file size is crashing the conversion software.
