A guy wants me to edit some clips he saved from ScreenFlow, but he wants to be able to re-insert them into ScreenFlow at a later date. What export settings would I use for this batch from FCP 7? Thanks, all!

Well, you might have some difficulty with those clips, as FCP only works well with broadcast and video camera formats. Screenflow does screen captures in computer screen dimensions. And FCP doesn’t work with those dimensions. Not only that, it’s best to convert the footage to an editing codec before you edit, because if you don’t, when you export it might not be in sync nor frame accurate.

FCP is a poor tool for this. Adobe Premiere Pro would do this with ease. And you can edit in Screenflow too. I know, I do it often. All my tutorials are recorded and editing inside Screenflow.
