I am trying to create a DVD. The editing is done in AVID and the DVD is created in Adobe Encore. I have tried many, many settings to try and get good resolution, no jitter, etc.

I found settings that seemed to work and then today used the same settings on export as my previous video. This time there is no video when it is brought into Encore – even though the MOV file plays fine in Quicktime.

Any ideas? Or any suggestions for settings on export.
    Thanks.

Are you exporting QT Reference? Its just pointing to the original video file in avid…what I do is export QT reference and encode in a 3rd party encoder..(procoder, sorenson, cinema craft) to creat m2v files…import into Encore…it will look awesome…non of Avid’s encoders do well on their own for dvd.

No, we have been exporting the complete QT .mov file not just the QT reference. This certainly sounds like it’s worth a try.

    Thanks so much…
