    Hello.

I am wondering if there is a setting in Adobe Media encoder that will let me export a file that Encore doesn’t have to “re-transcode” when I go to build the DVD?

Right now I am exporting mpeg 2 for DVD, I thought having this file pre-encoded would virtually eliminate the need for Encore to transcode the video files for DVD.

Previously I was exporting an AVI then importing it into a DVD authoring program and letting that program do the encoding…

Is what I’m looking for possible? Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated !

    Thanks in advance !

Encore typically recognizes .m2v files exported from AME as not needing transcoding…the .wav files associated with the video files are automatically transcoded to Dolby .ac3.
One can right click on files in Encore’s project window and access Transcode settings.
