What do you I need to be able to export flv (flash) files directly from FCP? My research on the internet came ulp with a “FLV Export plug-in”, where do I buy that at? Do you I have to buy the entire flash software just to get the plug-in? Do any companies like flip4mac that makes the handy Windows Media plug-in also do the same for flash video?

Will I get a higher quality flash video if I first export out a quicktime and then bring it into sorrenson squeeze to export a flv file?

Thanks. I did search for this on this forum and came up with nothing.

I can’t really tell you about exporting directly from fcp, I do have quite a bit of experience with sorenson squeeze. In my research, I never found anything that compresses to a smaller size and better quality than the spark pro codec for flv. That is the codec that squeeze uses. I can tell you that with other NLE’s I’ve used that allow export directly to flv, they only use the spark lite codec, which doesn’t do quite as well as spark pro. In my experience, you can’t do better than exporting out of the NLE with the same codec that your sequence is set to, then use sorenson squeeze. I can show you several examples and tell you how I got there, but I can’t post the examples here. Contact me directly at garyhonline-forums@yahoo.com if you want to see them.

    Thanks,
