If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated!

For our television show we had someone send us an external hard drive with data from an XD Cam EX on it. I was able to easily import them through XD Cam browser to load them onto FCP 7, however I am trying to figure out a way to get these converted so the program TEP HD can open them up WITH time code. I am able to easily convert them to AVI, however that does not carry over the time code for them. One solution we know we could possibly use is to drop them to an XD Cam disc, but the use of the editing systems/persons time and resources is something we are trying to avoid.

If anyone has experience with this, please let me know! Thanks so much in advanced.

Can the software read quicktime files? Timecode is embedded in .mov quicktimes

Unfortunately, no. It only reads avi, mpg, mpeg, and WMV (it claims MXF as well, but crashes upon attempting to open an MXF file). My next goal is to get them to replace with better software, but until then, this is the best that I have.

well, you could try this one, it does read QT TC.

It’s in use with eg ESPN.

Note that i might be biased, since i’m the developer.
Do toy with it, don’t be shy with questions.

    hth,
