Just getting back into the flow of FCP and I am attempting to make stills from a FCP sequence and export it into Photoshop CS2. Can someone point me in the right direction to get this task accomplished. I’m embarassed but I appreciate the help.

    Thanks!

Shift-N to make a still (either in the viewer or from the timeline) export using quicktime conversion, select still image from the list at the bottom, then select options, and choose what format you want.

Thank you very much. I can see clearly now.

Actually, you can skip the Shift-N….You can export a still directly from the timeline. Just park on the frame you want, and export using QT conversion.

Also, if you are doing your graphics in PS and plan to import back into FCP, make sure you change the image size to 720×540 or 720×534 for DV, do your PS work, resquish to 720×486 or 480 and import to FCP. This way your graphics will have the correct aspect ratio.
