exporting edls to Final Cut 4.5
I’ve searched for this throughout cow without luck so apologies to any willing to repeat themselves, but I can’t figure this out. I’m trying to export a simple edl, no effects.

Open the program you wish to export & choose File>Print to EDL.

That is correct, print to EDL but then choose to save the file in the CMX format. That way your reel numbers transfer correctly. If you save it as a SONY 5000 EDL, the reel numbers are translated as 001, 002 etc. With the CMX 3400 or 3600 format FCP asks for the reel numbers in the same way as you numbered them in M100 and you can batch digitize your program flawlessly.
