    Hi Folks,

My editor and I are shooting a doc with plans to offline on Premiere Pro CS4. We’ll need to export an EDL to Avid or FCP for the final online (based on BBC specs). We’re not expecting any dramas but not having an Avid handy, we can’t test. Can any of you confirm that exporting an EDL from CS4 for Avid or FCP is indeed not an issue? Do you have any advice you could share or know any quirks that arise that we should know about?

It shouldn’t be a factor but we are shooting with an EX3 @ 1080/50i 35mbs.

    Thanks so much in advance.

    Best,

    Joe

Consider using the AAF to export the whole project. AAF is Avid’s invention and FCP systems can take them in (depending on the version you may need Automatic Duck.)
