I need to export some footage from After Effects CS3 to a Quicktime 720/24p DVCPRO HD file. My issue is that I don’t see a DVCPRO HD format option in AE. The closest it gives me is DV/DVCPRO NTSC and when I choose that and change the resolution it does not look very good.

Any thoughts or ways to accomplish this. The facility’s system was crashing when they tried to render the Quicktime Photo-JPEG i gave them before.

FYI my delivery deadline is tomorrow morning. Thanks.

Lucky for me the QT animation codec seems to be rendering rather quickly. Maybe the post facility will be able to work with that – we’ll find out when I we talk today.

I looked into SheerVideo but it does not give me the option to export as a Quicktime DVCPRO HD format, which is what is requested by the post house.

Aparently the only way to convert files to DVCPRO HD on a pc, from the research I had found, is to use the DVFILM Raylight Encoder Pro. Goes for about $150.

I ended up calling up a friend who has a Final Cut Suite and we converted the files to ProRes 422 – cheaper than the $150
