    You’ll have to change the properties for the timeline itself.

    Make a duplicate of the timeline and go to sequence settings (command-O) and select the tab for timeline options. There is a check box for drop frame next to the starting timecode — make sure it is selected.

    Your export will then have drop frame timecode. Be sure to check your starting timecode, though. If you were aiming for a particular frame to start the action, you may have to make an adjustment or two to make sure you start where you are supposed to and end where you are supposed to.
