Is this possible to export a DNXHD145 QT with 12 channels of audio through compressor or FCPX? I thought it would be but my editor is saying he can only get stereo or 5.1 out, but nothing more. If not, can Premiere or Media Encoder do it from a Prores 12 channel audio QT?

Have you tried checking the box in compressor to “copy audio tracks from source”. I assume if you have 12 tracks of audio outputing, then you could get 12 tracks that way. Haven’t tried it myself.

Yeah – that works fine. We just have to export a master file and then use compressor on that vs exporting directly out of FCPX. Whew!

Couldn’t you create a preset in Compressor and then link to it in the share menu in FCPX?

Doesn’t seem to work correctly directly out of FCPX. That’s fine tho – it’s good to have a Prores version of the submaster as DNXHD145 is poopalicious.
