I keep telling you I’m just a kid!!! ???? I really don’t need to be making lossless copies for archiving purposes. Most of the time when I’m finished playing with a file I delete it. And where did this mysterious “k” come from, suddenly? Don’t confuse me with facts!!!

[Duke Sweden] “And where did this mysterious “k” come from, suddenly?”

That’s what Resolve uses. Some pieces of software use Mbps. 80000 bits per second (80 Kbps) would be really low for anything other than modern art or simulating a really bad internet stream. You can test this by inputting the number 80 to the “restrict to” box.

Yes I did mean 50,000 bits (or 5000 Kb/s), and no problem! Glad I could help. I find that setting to be a good overall export setting for H264 files, it’s compatible with almost everything including YouTube and it looks pretty good overall. The render engine in Resolve is excellent!

I must be getting senile. Since Dick Clark died I’m the world’s oldest teenager ???? Suddenly I’m seeing “k’s” all over the place including in your original response, Jeff. Anyway, thanks again to both of you. Now I can watch my utterly worthless video clips in stunning 4K, as TV Answer Man! would say.
