Two questions, related to managing a large number of still pics in a project.

    1) Is there a good way to export a list of clip names along with duration of each clip? I’ve used Export EDL which gives me the clip names and the in/out of each clip, but not duration. I’m wondering if there’s a better way…or possibly a way to export this info with XML, then import to Excel?

    2) Is there any way to reconnect media while ignoring file extensions? I have a large number of jpgs, which are downrezd copies of tifs, and I’d like to reconnect the clips to the original tifs. Only difference in clip names is the file extension.

    Any help appreciated, thanks!

For #1, you can export a batch list out of a bin and open that file in Excel.

For #2, You can take the clips offline and then manually reconnect to the tiffs one by one.

Thanks for the response, exporting batch list/importing to Excel works great.

For reconnecting tifs to jpeg clips, I’m trying to avoid reconnecting each clip individually. Just wondering if there’s an efficient way to do this (other than not using two sets of files in the first place).

Not that I know of, bud. Sorry.
