I am using lightwave 8 and I am exporting camera data where the orientation is not matching up when I import it into After Effects. It looks like Lightwave is using Euler 3d space and After Effects is using quaternion space to represent the camera orientation. Does anyone know how to convert from the Euler orientation to the Quaternion orientation for After Effects or anything that can help me out?

I can’t answer your question directly but the book “Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects vol 2: Advanced Techniques” by Trish and Eric Meyer has a chapter about integrating 3D apps with AE. I recall it having specific instructions for exporting camera data from Lightwave [8]. Hope that helps.
