exporting Blackmagic files from PP CS4
Hi,
We are now using CS4 Full time, and there are still some issues. The biggest one is that there seems to be no way to export a BM AVI from the Premiere Pro timeline. When we hit export media, it opens the media encoder, but does nothing. There is an option to load a premiere timeline in the media encoder, but there is no way to select BM as codec. When I select uncompressed AVI, and trie to encode I get an error compiling movie. What’s up with this? Anyone know what’s going on here?Mike

When you use File>Export>Media do you not get an option in the dropdown box for “Blackmagic AVI File” ? If not it may suggest incorrect installation of the Blackmagic software.
Make sure you have the most recent version of Premiere Pro (Help>Updates) and then uninstall the BM software, reboot and reinstall with the latest version.

Hi,
I do get the Blackmagic AVI when I export. When I select that, the media encoder is launched, but there is nothing added to the queue.
