I would like to export footage from FCP 4.0 and UPLOAD FTP to a client

I need to give them the footage in the BEST possible format

    Length is 00:06:40:00

My client is going to cut the piece with a program he has (not FCP, not Premiere, not AVID)

How should I export this? What kind of file?

I figured I could just print to Mini DV but he has no importing method other than “FILES”

What is he using? Can it read a quicktime file?

    Shane’s Stock Answer #3:

To export your DV project so there is no loss in quality, simply go to the File Menu and select EXPORT>QUICKTIME MOVIE. Not Quicktime Conversion, fot this will compress the footage. Make sure the settings match your timeline settings, make it self contained and you are set.

Quicktime DV movie and hope that he can use a Quicktime file. What are they using on their end? Have them look at the manual and tell you exactly what kind of file the software can read.
