    Hello-

Posted this on the Adobe Premiere forum, apologies for duplicating question but it’s not getting much response so I try here…

I’ve been rendering and rerendering, reading options in forums and still am getting nowhere. I’m using CS6 on a Mac. Please help…..

    Objective:
Export a high quality video file for Vimeo. I have read to use the h.264 codec, and that is what I’ve been using.

    My imported footage:
720×540 @ 30fps square pixels, targa stacks from AE (progressive).

    Premiere export settings:
720×540 @ 30fps, square pixels, progressive, h.264 codec, mV4, TV-NTSC, profile-high, level-4.1, render at max depth, VBR 2 pass- 10/20, keyframe dist-1, no multiplexer, max render quality, no frame blend

I can export the files (mV4 or mp4) but can’t play them back in VLC, QT, etc. All I get when playing back is a message that says ‘error’. I can play it back in Premiere though. All software is updated.

    Question:
Should I be using a standard setting instead of my custom setting?
I read somewhere about re-scaling my footage at 90% and fitting it in a standard format, is this the best option?
Any ideas about what I’m doing wrong?

I’d like to preserve everything ‘as is’ if possible and create the highest quality video that I can upload to Vimeo.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions…..
