  • Exporting Alpha-Channel from Keylight (1.2)?

    Hello CC,

i use keyed greenscreen-footage and want to use it as a foreground layer to an optical flare. After playing around i decided to export the keyed footage as quicktime-movie (rgb + alpha) and this works. My question is: does Keylight 1.2 output the alphachannel as well, so i could use it before exporting it?

I tried to duplicate the keyed footage and take the top one as Luma Matte (with mode “Screen Matte” instead of “FInal Result”), but this did not work that well.

Try precomposing the layer first to use it as an alpha matte.

The keyed footage should be in a Pre-Comp, Keylight still applied to the Videolayer or the Comp? To what will the alpha-channel be applied to?
