  • Exporting AIFF causes glitches in file

I’m exporting three audiotracks from FCP (there are some cross dissolves).

Playing the audio in FCP sounds just fine. After Audio Mixdown, I export to AIFF as Stereo mix.

When opening the file in SoundTrackPro, I have a few glitches, where the audio is muted.

Other sequences audio tracks exports to AIFF just fine. Any tips on how to solve this?

I could send the audio to a ST project file, but then STP gets quite slow and the audio levels are not correct.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Can you describes the glitches, what is the length, does the waveform tell you anything? Can you relate them to certain clips or tracks? Are they on one channel or on both simultaneously?
And just to be sure that it is really in the aiff – if you open this aiff in Quicktime Player (or reimport it into FCP) do you get the same glitches as in Soundtrack Pro?

Not sure why, but when I exported the AIFF to the Desktop instead of to my project disk (FW) it seems to have worked just fine.

    Fingers crossed…
