April 7, 2006 at 9:16 pmUse iTunes to convert AIFF to mp3.
I do this all the time.iTunes (menu) > Prerences… > Importing > “Import Using:” > MP3 Encoder “Setting:” > (choose “High” or “Higher” for best quality) > “OK” (closes preferences).
Drop your AIFF clip into an iTunes open window, click once on your clip to select it, and choose:
Advanced (menu) > Convert Selection to MP3.Works VERY fast and stores new MP3 file in the iTunes library.
You can do a “search” (apple f) to locate the new MP3 file on the hard drive and then just drop it into an email.

April 10, 2006 at 8:38 pmI got tired of always changing iTunes settings for work and back to play for my iPod. I found the coolest little $10 app. https://www.dekorte.com/projects/shareware/SoundConverter/ It’ll convert just about any type of audio file to any other type, fast. It’ll also convert stereo and mono, sample rates, bit rates, data rates, and more. Never use iTunes for conversion again. It’s free to try, $10 to keep. Well worth it.
Thanks,
Gary
