    hi

    I am new to FCP 5. I am trying to make a reference file for burning a CD trough FCP using File>Export>quicktome movie (self contain off). It makes more than 700 mb file for 20 mnts. Which use to be max 30-40 mb for the same practice with FC% 4.5. cant figure out the problem tried genral things. please help me with this.

    If you make a reference file it’s not going to do anything on a CD. It will require all the original media to be loaded on whatever computer you’ve got the CD in.

    As for your question, I’m not seeing anything like that here. Reference files are still pretty small compared to regular self-contained movies.
