Exporting a QuickTime
Hi…
A photographer friend of mine wants to uses some of my 7D footage on a slideshow/video fusion thing they do. I thought it would be better to give her small clips I tweaked rather than just transcoded clips. I exported 20 individual quicktimes, current settings, and wrote them to DVD. I was able to look at them but my computer choked a little. She couldn’t see the video at all… only had audio.
Any thoughts on this?

These are PRORES files, right? They need at least QT 7 in order to see these files.

QT 7 can read only ProRes HQ or ProRes LT video without the extra goodness imparted by FCP7.”It can read plain old ProRes 422 as well…

Yes, the transcoded files are prores 422. So, the work around is in the transcoding?

Make sure you make the clips “Self-Contained” also.

I guess the decoder came with 7.5…so if you have 7.6, you should be fine.
