    I have masked/animated a foreground object in a clip.

    How do I now get just the masked portion into FCP?

    Whe I tried an export ans imported into FCP, the masked portion is white and the background is black.

    BYW -I’m using HDV

    That B&W image is your mask. Look up “Travel Matte” in the FCP manual to learn how to apply the travel matte between 2 layers of footage.
