Exporting a DCP file for Windows
I am fairly new to the experience of file delivery to theaters for a film I recently finished. Mostly it’s been shown in smaller venues where I play a .mov file via HDMI through my laptop. I am now delivering to a larger theater that asked for a DCP file. Fortunately, Premiere Pro does export a DCP file. My question is how to export it for delivery to the theater, which is windows-based?
I know I can put it on an external drive, but the file is over 25GB, so any drive formatted for FAT32 is going to be limited to 4G, correct? Macs can’t write to an NTFS drive and other options I’ve read about involve loading software and some expenses and I’m hoping for an easier, more immediate solution.
What are some other options for getting this Mac-generated DCP file to the theater?
