I am trying to export a 16:9 movie into Quicktime, to be compilred onto a DVD produced in iDVD. I have been using the DV-PAL 16:9 anamorphice setting, but this creates a file squashed into a 4:3 screen. How do I output a file so that it appears in widescreen in a widescreen TV and a letter box when viewed in a 4:3 screen?

    Cheers

Use DVD SP and set track to 16X9

I have this problem too. Basically whenver i export a 16:9 sequence using , export quicktime movie, using same settings. When i open that up in Quicktime, it is 4×3 though. To get it to 16:9 i have to re-export it from Quicktime.

In your compressor setting try to make sure that your Constrain Display to 16×9 .

It is in the inspector window in the geometry section.
