Exporting
Dear all,
I’m kinda new about Premiere, and made a little video from different footages. They all come from my Sony SR11 camera, and have this format:
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 448Kbps [AC-3]
Video: MPEG2 Video 720×480 (16:9) 29.97fps 9100Kbps [Video]As weird as it sounds, they appear with a 852×480 resolution, and I still don’t know why (a 1.2 pixel would make it 864×480).
Anyway, my project is done with Premiere, and I want to export it so I can apply effects in After Effect (for some reasons, my footages doesn’t make it possible to open the Premiere project in AE). It implies not loosing too much quality!
I tried different ways, but I can’t get a single video with the same attributes as my footages.
Example: I tried an export Microsoft DV AVI 720×480 16:9 (D1/DV NTSC Large Screen 16:9 1.2), and all I got is… 720×540 !!
I really don’t know how come I can’t get the 852×480 of my footages…
If anyone can help my with my noob behavior, it’ll be much appreciated!!

Hey Laurent.
Try this,
Open After Effects and then go to file and select “Import Premiere Pro Project”, select your PP project.
It will take a few minutes to load.
Then, this is important, find the one file within all the files you can see called “Sequence 1” and double click that one file. DO NOT DRAG ALL THE FILES INTO THE NEW COMP BIN.
Once all the files load into the timeline you can add your effects.
Once finished you can ouput from After Effects.If this doesn’t work I’m not sure what’s going on with the footage.

Thx, but sorry. AE really doesn’t seem to accept my footage.
Anyway, my main problem here is getting a good video out from Premiere. And I can’t get any 852×480 video out of it right now!! ;-(
