    Hey, everyone.

I am delivering a movie, and the client wants 6 channels of 5.1 mixes, and 2 channels of stereo mixes on the same file. Every time I go to export, my options only go to 6 channels, even though I have created a new output sequence with 8. Thoughts?

    Hey Jonathann,

Sorry, but we need more info as to your specs, and what codec you are using, and where the film will be shown.

My gut feeling is that you need to go DCP. although some codecs do come with 8 channels of audio.

But first, it is worth checking whether your Channel Mapping is set-up correctly?

Do keep in mind that even if you set 8 channels out, if the codec used can only carry 4 audio channels. Then you will only get 4 channels, regardless.

I’ve had to export eight channel audio using MXF.

    Mads tips should help.
