Hey all, I’m new to the Avid forum, I usually haunt the After Effects forum, but I have a new issue… I have footage that I shot on a Panasonic HPX-500 in 1080i, 60i fps. I have it imported into Avid, but I want to export out of Avid and bring it into AE for further time remapping and color correction and effects and stuff like that.

The only problem is I can export at 1080 resolution, 16×9 but it reads as 29.97 in After Effects… I have gone through all of the codecs and options for them… (I believe) and can’t find a fix. I am working on Avid Xpress Pro v.5.8

    Thanks!

1080i59.94 is 1080i29.97, the difference is some people count fields and some count frames. You should exports QuickTime movie same as source and make sure you AE machine has the avid codecs installed on it. Also HD is upper field first so remember that when setting up and rendering your AE project.
