    Hi-

I have a project shot on the AG-HVX200 shot 720p at 59.94 frames/sec. Not all the footage is slomo, but the regular speed footage still comes with the 59.94 timecode. The camera operator didn’t set it to flag the duplicate frames, so when I bring the footage into a 23.98 sequence in FCP, it has to render out. Rather than deal with contstantly rendering every time I wanted to make an edit, I made a rough cut in a 59.94 sequence and everything plays back perfectly. My issue is printing back to tape using the AG-HVX200–can this deck record the 59.94 footage from Final Cut? I’ve exported 23.98 footage before with no problems, plus the Panasonic website says that it can handle 59.94 footage…so why am I getting problems when I try to cut the 59.94 edit to tape? The deck doesn’t appear to respond and keeps crapping out. Is there a menu setting that I need to change in order to cut to tape?

    Thanks,

    -E

In the previous post I meant to say “using the AJ-HD1200A” when printing to tape. My bad.

Look at the Menu settings in the back of the menu. Make sure it’s set up for 60 not 50. It’s in one of the first few menus.

I only work in 59.94 and have mastered over 30 episodes to it so far with no issues.

Could you elaborate a bit more? Do you mean in the FCP menu or the HD Deck menu?
