    Hi There,

I am having problems importing into my DVD software from Exp Pro HD. Its a PAL project. The smaller file (5 min video) I export goes into Adobe Encore happily. The larger one (34 min) won’t. Encore says it is not a 25 frames/second project but it IS. Am I missing something? I am exporting as a QT Ref.

I seem to get a better quality transcode through Encore- i tested it on the 5 min video. I am trying to avoid Sorenson if I can as i don’t seem to get the quality I want.

    Thanks,
    Dale…

HI it says Nothing in the properties… i am trying now to send it as a quick time movie instead and i can get stuff into Encore but it won’t let me send the whole sequence- it says i am exceeding the 2GB limit- is there a way to change the limit?

I have done the export again as a qt ref… I can’t find the frame rate in the movie player but it does say the format is Meridian Uncompressed… where do u change the export setting for QT ref files in Express Pro?

    Hi Michael,
I found the frame rate in the movie player… it said 24.7 fps. i was wrong.

I have been looking around and i can’t seem to find anywhere in the QT settings to change the rate to 25…

Is there a way or am i stuck with it?

    Regards,
    Dale…

Hmmmm… very strange. Instead of Meridian uncompressed, try using the QT reference with “same as source”, then export. If all else fails, give Sorenson another try. Play with the settings in the encoder to get better results – perhaps matching those found in Encore.

Also, was the 24.7fps rate during play?

Hi Miichael, I don’t think it was during play… I looked at it in the “show Movie” window.

Thats a good idea to do the same settings as Encore.

Do u know if i can change the 2GB limit when exporting QT movies? If i can solve that i can save time on doing more test burns.

Thanks for your help. I might have to place a call to my freindly avid guys in the morning…

    Regards,
    Dale…

There is no way to change the 2Gb file limit, so you will need to look at the other suggestions as a solution.
