Exported video appears choppy
I just got CS3. I work for a non-profit and have a background in TV editing but haven’t done alot of more technical stuff. Had no problems capturing and editing a simple set of clips for broll and interview. Now I want to export it in high quality NTSC so that TV stations will be able to import and edit and broadcast.
The footage was shot on a Sony HDV camera and imported into CS3 with the following properties:
HDV 1080i (60i)
29.97 fps
1440 x 1080
Pixel aspect ratio 1.33 (HD anamorphic 1080)Like I said, I want to export in a high quality (MPEG2) file that can then be used (edited and broadcast) by a TV station. I’m assuming that keeping it high quality and in the same pixel ratio is the way to go because that would allow the end user to do whatever they want with it.
I’ve tried all sorts of stuff in the Adobe Media Encoder but I always get choppy video when I view in WMP. In the best scenario it is smooth for five seconds before going haywire.
Brand new computer built for editing so I hope it has the proper specs:
Intel Core 2 2.66
2 GB RAM
Seagate 80GB SATA2
500GB Striped RAID scratch drive
PNY Qudro FX1500 Graphics Card
Windows XP ProHope that info can help someone help me.
Thanks
