  Exported sequence won’t play closed captions in Quicktime or Windows Media

  I exported a sequence with an .srt captioning file. My captioning settings are CEA 608 and CC1. In my Media export settings I selected the Captions tab and None. When I play back the video in Quicktime I open the View drop down menu and select Subtitles (there is no closed captioning option). But it shows me None for Subtitles. I have the closed captioning turned on in Windows Media Player on my PC but same thing-no captions. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
